About Building Kingdom Citizens
Building Kingdom Citizens (BKC) is a non-conventional church and discipleship program founded in Saint Louis, Missouri that recaptures the radical, life-changing message of God’s Kingdom as something we must forsake all to enter.
The goal of this project was to create a logo and visual identity based on the brand’s mission to become and make disciples.
Creative Direction
The BKC Visual identity was designed to be a kingdom-centric community with a modern touch. The Brand’s keywords are:
Disciple, Equip, Transform, Relevant, Connected.

Logo Conception

The 4 elements of the Building Kingdom Citizens Logo Icon each symbolize an aspect of the ministry:
The Lion

The Lion symbolizes Christ in His victory over all sin and evil. He is also the one who tramples every enemy under His feet and defends His pride of lions and Bride, The Church. We live from His victory and are able to be more than conquerors in Him. We are safe and secure in His power.
The Crown

The Crown symbolizes Christ in His Kingship over all creation. He is the Lord and ruler of the Church, and the One who will reign over all the earth. We are also kings and priests in Him with the calling and responsibility to sacrifice all for His Kingdom and earn our crowns of glory.
The Sword

The Sword symbolizes the Word of God, the Gospel Message that proceeds out of the mouth of Christ. Christ Himself is the Word and we do warfare against the kingdom of darkness by revelation of the Word, faith in the Word, and obedience to the Word. We grow as disciples when we “continue in His Word.”
The 3 Slanted Shapes

The 3 Slanted Shapes on each side of the lion’s face symbolize the 3 phases of discipleship: The Calling of God, The Wilderness Journey with God, and the Glory of God (Promise / Reward).
